We started by creating a tool to help people understand their spending from bank and card statements. Soon, we faced a major issue: the data often came in messy. PDFs were inconsistent, tables split across pages, and exports were not reliable enough for professional accounting.
So, we focused on what really matters—turning statements into structured transactions you can trust without double-checking the math.
SmartBankStatement is designed to be the professional bank statement converter, with automatic reconciliation checks and an uncompromising focus on EU-hosted privacy. This way, accounting firms and bookkeepers can move from "PDF chaos" to clean, balanced, and ready-to-import ledgers. In addition to standard Excel and CSV formats, we also export in QBO format.
